Therapy Begins

Picking up where The Dark Knight left off, “Therapy Begins” finds the Joker behind the iron gates of Arkham Asylum.  He’s beginning therapy sessions with young Dr. Harleen Quinzel, who has decided to videotape each session for the purposes of medical research by the Arkham psychiatric staff, presumably to better help the newly-designated Patient #4479.  The main question asked of the Joker in this episode, which kicks off the series in grand style, is why does he think he’s in Arkham.  He gave as many reasons for being in Arkham as he did scar stories over the course of The Dark Knight but, when Dr. Quinzel finally asks him one more time, Mister J’s answer isn’t nearly as amusing and is actually a bit foreboding.
