Mister J has asked us to ask you to get out the Avery labels and Sharpies you purcased for the tasks and write
on each of them in preparation for Black Friday and the first weekend of holiday shopping.
We’re hoping you can get as many stickers out to the public over the biggest shopping weekend of the year. This will be an ongoing task, so you don’t have to stop stickering after this weekend. You can keep on doing it for as long as you have labels (or can get more!). So the idea is to sticker sticker sticker and get The Joker Blogs in the the public’s face, just like Mister J likes it.
THE JOKER BLOGS STICKERING GUIDELINES
When going into a store or shop, ask the manager if you may place some stickers in their store and where you may place them. If they say no, respect their wishes.
The first targets should be comics shops. Another good idea is to see if you could place stickers on their bags. That way, the customer will carry the Joker Blogs message home with them where their computer is sitting ready to bring them to us. Another good place would be comic books in the clear protective sleeves. You could place the sticker in a upper corner where the book won’t be concealed in any way, but the message will be seen by customers. Targeting Batman comics is the obvious choice at first, then any DC comic after that. Also ask if you may leave some sheets of stickers for their use, if they’d care to spread the word for The Joker Blogs.
Gaming stores would also be very good to go for, again focusing on bags, leaving behind stickers on the counter, and stickering Batman-associated video games. The same rules and guidelines above apply here and everywhere!
Another great place would be movie theaters. Ask the manager if you could put stickers on the ticket booths, near posters advertising related movies (superhero, action/adventure, sci-fi, you get the idea), cups, popcorn tubs, etc.
Large shopping centers with public areas that allow for flyers and stickers are very good as well. Any place legal (where there are already such marketing tools on display) should be a stickering free-for-all. Go for it.
Again, if you’re unsure if you should place stickers in an area, either ask or don’t do it. We can’t tell you what you can and can’t do, but try to be wise in your choices not only for The Joker Blogs but for yourself. We don’t want anyone being cited or even arrested for violating any vandalism laws in your area, so think before you sticker! If you go outside our guidelines, The Joker Blogs can’t be held responsible if you get in trouble. Also, when you talk to managers about the stickers, tell them what The Joker Blogs is all about, how it got started, and what a huge following it already has, etc. Be excited and persuasive! And, most of all, have fun!
